adidas is not scared of bold, exotic designs, especially animal print. This element has been featured on various Three Striped silhouettes in heavy rotation over the past few years. After a highly successful 2024, the German sportswear brand looks to continue its good fortune into 2025 by releasing two women's exclusive iterations of the Samba OG in leopard print.
Both pairs showcase a bold leopard print crafted on a faux pony hair base. The textured surface not only adds a sense of luxury but also infuses the sneaker with a wild, fashion-forward edge that sets it apart from the more conventional iterations of the sneaker. The juxtaposition of the animal print against the sleek design of the Samba OG creates a captivating blend of streetwear and high fashion, which makes it widely acclaimed.
One of the pairs features cream-white leather for the Three Stripes branding along the midfoot, also used to craft the tongue and heel tab, creating a striking contrast against the bold animal print. The inner is lined with preloved red leather, and the color is utilized again for the lace set, lending vibrancy to an already loud shoe. A gum-colored rubber sole provides comfort and durability. A different approach is taken with the second pair. Again, the leopard print daubed faux pony hair base is apparent, but core black leather provides the contrast, with the leather used for the Three Stripes branding, tongue, and heel tab, and this time both the lace stay and T-style toebox. The differences in aesthetics are subtle but clear, and the use of dark collegiate green for the inner lining and a black lace set further highlight it. A gum-colored rubber sole finishes the look. Both pairs have traditional Trefoil graphic decals on the tongues.
The adidas Samba OG Leopard Pack W is set to release in February 2025 via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, retail is $110.
