Even though the Superstar is well over five decades old, it's still considered by many to be one of the most iconic sneakers of all-time. After taking the wraps off collaborations with Jeremy Scott and Yohji Yamamoto earlier this season, the German sportswear brand has now brought back the adidas Superstar 82 "Core Black." Referencing a specific version from the early '80s, if for whatever you still don't have a pair in your collection, you should definitely check this one out.
As stealthy as they come, this Superstar 82 is outfitted in premium leather that's smooth and soft to the touch. Three Stripe branding shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, while the legendary Shelltoe makes a cameo up front. adidas logos venture towards the tongue and heel, just like the original, and underfoot, you'll find a fully blacked out rubber midsole that has been slightly textured for a vintage vibe. This is then tied together with a pair of woven flat laces, finalizing the classic design.
Releasing on January 20th, 2023, the adidas Superstar 82 Core Black will drop in men's sizes at adidas and select retailers online and in physical locations with a retail price of $140. More colorways are going to be announced within the coming months, so make sure you follow us on Twitter and download Sole Retriever'sMobile App to find out everything that you need to know and more.
