The adidas Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX Collection is Available Now

adidas continues to push the boundaries of hiking innovation with the release of the Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX Collection, designed to provide runners with the ultimate combination of speed, grip, and protection. As part of the brand’s Agravic line-up, this new addition comes equipped with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology, ensuring that hikers can tackle the harshest weather conditions while keeping their feet dry and comfortable.
Carla Murphy, SVP/Global General Manager at adidas TERREX, explains the philosophy behind the latest addition to the Agravic lineup:
"With the winterized edition of the Agravic, we wanted to create a shoe that enables trail runners to enjoy the feeling of running fast on trails, no matter the weather. From waterproof GORE-TEX technology to a midsole built to deliver a cushioned, protective, and dynamic ride, every detail is crafted to let runners focus on the thrill of speed and exploration, no matter the conditions."

The adidas Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX Collection is built with cutting-edge materials and performance-focused technology to meet the demands of serious hikers. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane is seamlessly integrated into the shoe’s upper, providing a natural fit while keeping water out and blocking wind, ensuring warmth during long runs in unpredictable conditions.
For traction, adidas has incorporated a Continental rubber outsole featuring a mix of 4mm and 5mm lugs, delivering reliable grip even on wet, uneven, and slippery surfaces. Whether hikers face rocky inclines or muddy paths, the outsole ensures stability and control in every step.
The LIGHTSTRIKE foam midsole, initially seen in the Agravic 3, returns to deliver responsive cushioning that absorbs impact while allowing for dynamic energy return. This midsole design is crafted to help hikers maintain a steady pace on rugged trails while reducing fatigue over long distances.

adidas TERREX athlete Petter Engdahl, who frequently trains in Norwegian mountain conditions, shared his insights on the new Skychaser GORE-TEX model:
"Training in the Norwegian mountains can throw all kinds of conditions at you, so when I'm lacing up for a training session, it's crucial to have footwear that can handle the elements. The Agravic GORE-TEX is my go-to shoe for those unpredictable days – it provides the grip and protection I need to keep pushing, regardless of the terrain."
The adidas Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX Collection was released on February 1, 2025, and is available now through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
