adidas is going full throwback this year. During the adidas Basketball 2023 footwear previews earlier this month, not only did the German sportswear company announce that it was reviving some Feet You Wear favorites, it also revealed that Tracy McGrady's third signature shoe was making a triumphant return in the form of the adidas TMAC 3 "UAPB." Paying homage to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff's basketball team, the Golden Lions, here's everything that you need to know.
Falling in line with the TMAC 3's original aesthetic, this UAPB rendition boasts a bright yellow patent leather upper that's as glossy as it gets. The school's lion head mascot makes its way towards the black neoprene tongue, while additional "UAPB" branding is finely stamped across the lateral ankle. McGrady's logo adorns the vamp and medial heel, and underfoot, the midsole is carved from adidas' critically-acclaimed Bounce cushioning, complete with a Torsion plate for extra support while on the hardcourt.
Expected to release sometime in 2023, the adidas TMAC 3 UAPB Yellow will be available in men's sizes via adidas, the CONFIRMED app, and select stockists with a retail price that has yet TBA.
