The adidas Trimm Star VHS Pack is a size? Exclusive
A modern theme gets a reboot as adidas and size? team up to release an all-new VHS-themed pack highlighting the Trimm Star silhouette. Initially launched in 2018, the concept has achieved cult status, with both pairs sought after. It proves to be a busy 2025 for size? and adidas after the announcement of the 25th Anniversary Series Shanghai, among other projects in the pipeline.
Before the advent of digital technology, VHS tapes were an everyday staple in households worldwide. Even today, they remain a fixture in some places, as the video cassette player has played a significant role in many popular culture moments. The bright patterns on the tape packaging have lined shelves in dens and living rooms everywhere, creating a nostalgic sight from that era. It is this feeling of nostalgia that size? aims to capture again so succinctly.
The new pairs are inspired by the 2018 versions, showcasing similarities and subtle differences. One pair features an upper made from crisp white tumbled leather, with a vibrant contrast provided by the Three Stripes along the midfoot, showcasing red, green, and blue hues. At the rear, a black heel tab offers support, while retro-inspired adidas Trimm Star branding appears in gold foil on the sidewall, and the sneaker is finished with a gum-colored rubber outsole.
Sitting opposite is a pair that mainly features a black suede upper. A splash of white appears on the heel tab, while the Three Stripes along the side showcase vibrant violet, red, and yellow hues, creating a striking contrast. Underfoot, a black rubber outsole maintains a balanced aesthetic.
Both pairs of the adidas Trimm Star are completed with custom graphic insoles. Unfortunately, there will not be a custom shoebox design like the 2018 counterparts.
