adidas’ Latest Pack Of Sneakers Comes Inspired By Utah Jazz Throwback Jerseys

Although basketball is most commonly associated with Nike when it comes to sportswear labels, adidas still has a presence in the sport. Outside of their new performance models, The Three Stripes relies on retro models like the Forum 84 and Rivalry Low, as they now fall under the lifestyle category. Taking the two silhouettes mentioned above, adidas is bringing us back to a different era with a pack seemingly inspired by “Utah Jazz Throwback” colors.

Both the adidas Forum 84 Low and adidas Rivalry Low appear here in their classic construction, with the Forum 84 Low coming in a mix of chalk white, sky rush, and energy ink. At the same time, the Rivarly Low takes on a crystal white, energy ink, and bold gold color scheme. Starting with the Forum, we see gradient patterns take over the mesh base layer while the leather panels throughout come in a creamy white hue. Stitching details borrow from the purple accenting colors spotted on the sockliner, eyestays, and portions of the lace set. Multi-color hits take over the Three Stripes branding, with the other adidas branding coming in blue and purple. Rounding out the look is the white midsole with purple stitching paired with a semi-translucent icy blue rubber outsole.

On the adidas Rivalry Low, we see hits of green and gold added to the mix that pops amongst the white base layer. Purple takes over details like the Three Stripes branding, sockliner, and portions of the sole, while golden accents are spotted on the laces, collar, and heel. Atop the tongue, we see a retro adidas logo mimicking an old-school NBA team logo. Rounding everything out is the two-tone purple and cream rubber midsole paired with a creamy rubber outsole.

The adidas Utah Jazz Throwback Pack will be released in 2023 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price for both pairs is currently TBD.
