In the fast-paced world of sneaker design, adidas has often been at the forefront of innovation and trendsetting. However, in a dynamic industry where boundaries are constantly pushed, lines between inspiration and imitation can sometimes blur. This trend is particularly evident in the upcoming release of the adidas Vento XLG Deluxe, a silhouette that resembles the Balenciaga Track Runner.
At first glance, the adidas Vento XLG Deluxe could easily be mistaken for the high-fashion Balenciaga Track Runner. Its runner-like silhouette has many panels, textures, and colors, creating a visually complex and busy upper. Notably, the Vento XLG Deluxe borrows the distinctive cage detailing on the midfoot and the dual heel tab overlay from its Balenciaga counterpart.
While the Balenciaga Track Runner showcases its brand name on the lateral toe, adidas similarly places its iconic Three Stripes logo. The sneaker is grounded by a chunky, molded midsole emphasizing its robust and rugged character and a wavy rubber outsole that enhances traction and durability.
The adidas Vento XLG Deluxe is set to release overseas on December 21, 2023, while a global launch will take place in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Stay tuned to the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release and more from the ever-evolving world of sneakers and streetwear.
