The adidas Y-3 Kyasu Overboot is Available Now

Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 label with adidas continues to redefine the boundaries of avant-garde footwear, pushing the limits of design and function. Since its inception, Y-3 has merged Yohji Yamamoto’s forward-thinking fashion sensibilities with adidas’ sportswear technology, creating collections that challenge the status quo. The Y-3 Kyasu silhouette debuted in 2023, offering a chunky, brutalist aesthetic, but as the colder months approach, Y-3 has introduced a striking new iteration—the adidas Y-3 Kyasu Overboot.

This expressive overboot builds on the DNA of the original Kyasu silhouette while adapting to different weather conditions and settings. Two high-cut lengths are offered, one stopping below the knee and the other before the calf, providing ample flexibility for both fashion-forward and practical wearers. The design is constructed with a sleek full-leather overboot unzips to reveal a standalone Kyasu mule beneath. The mule, crafted from suede and featuring a one-piece PU midsole, offers a more relaxed fit while maintaining the premium quality of Y-3 designs. Laser-engraved Three Stripes appear subtly on the inside of the boot, along with Yohji Yamamoto's signature on the midsole and "Hello" on the back of the mule.

The adidas Y-3 Kyasu Overboot W Black was released on October 15, 2024, and is currently available through adidas Y-3 in-store and via select retailers online and in-store.
