Beginning its development in 2019, the adidas Yeezy 500 High Tactical Boot is finally ready to hit the retail shelves. Following an early sample leak in 2022 and the cessation of the adidas Yeezy partnership, a "Sand" colorway is now set to be a part of adidas Yeezy's forthcoming releases. This news comes just a day after rumors of Foot Locker releasing select Yeezys in August.
The Yeezy 500 High Tactical Boot "Sand" combines a combat-boot aesthetic with the sole unit of the Yeezy 500. The sneaker boasts a mix of suede, ballistic mesh, and nubuck on the upper. The sneaker is cloaked in tonal shades, with the suede toebox, eyestays, and heel overlay all coming in tan hues. A ballistic nylon underlay is the base layer, while a textile reinforces the collar and midfoot region. Adding a tactical touch, the laces conceal firestarter material on the inside. Rounding off the design is the classic Yeezy 500 sole unit containing the adiPRENE+ cushioning system, finished in a sand and gum hue.
The adidas Yeezy 500 High Tactical Boot Sand will release in Fall 2023, potentially as early as August, through adidas Confirmed and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is still to be announced.
