Offering an evolution from the famed Yeezy Boost 350 V2, the adidas Boost Yeezy 380 model was initially intended the elusive third version of the 350. The name change came just before its official release and eventually faded from being a mainstay in the Yeezy lineup, as we saw fewer and fewer releases. Now, following news that adidias is finally selling some of Yeezy inventory it's been sitting on since the partnership ended, the Yeezy Boost 380 “Covellite” is set for a comeback.
Across the Primeknit upper, a blend of earthy black and blue tones takes over, while the translucent monofilament side stripe cuts across the lateral side. Tonal black laces match the stretchy knit collar and sockliner. The sneaker is supported by a chunky Boost-cushioned midsole enclosed by an aged semi-translucent rubber midsole. Rounding out the design is a brown outsole.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 380 Covellite will release May 31 alongside a slew of Yeezy sneakers exclusively through adidas Confirmed or adidas.com/yeezy. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230.
