Far from Ye’s 2020 aesthetic of bright colors seen on his early Yeezy Gap samples, the multi-billion dollar man has shifted into donning all-black attire leading up to and following his Donda album release. Since then, the design choice for the entire Yeezy brand has shifted to match its creators' wardrobe. On top of this, restocks galore have been present for the adidas Yeezy line by bringing back fan-favorite colorways. Ticking both boxes is the upcoming restock of the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 "Utility Black."
On the upper, a mix of suede, mesh, and leather come together to create the iconic dad shoe that sneakerheads and regular consumers alike have fallen in love with. Around the toebox, the iconic suede fang overlay and side panels sit above a mesh base, all of which come in black. The leather eyestays, laces, and mesh tongue above join in on this monochromatic look. Along the midfoot, the 3M reflective Three Stripes branding hidden by mesh get blacked out. On the heel, perforated suede sits below the mesh collar and sockliner, once again getting dressed in black. Rounding out the look is full-length Boost cushioning encapsulated by a black molded foam midsole with 3M drips on the heel and a gum rubber outsole breaking up the monochromatic look.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Utility Black is set to re-release on August 21, 2023 through adidas Confirmed, adidas.com/yeezy, Yeezy Supply, and select Yeezy retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $240. To stay updated on all things Yeezy and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App for future releases.
