Dating back to 2019, Yeezy Day began as both a day for adidas to get rid of old stock that had been laying around for some time, and an opportunity for the consumer to secure coveted pairs of Yeezys they had missed out on. Though they skipped out in 2020, 2021 saw plenty of restocks and new colorways scattered between Yeezy Supply and adidas Confirmed. This year, adidas is set to not only bring back recently released pairs, but host the return of the 350 that started it all, new 700s, 450s, Slides, and much more.
When Is Yeezy Day 2022?
Yeezy Day 2022 will begin on August 2nd in the US while the EU and Asia will have their turn on August 3rd.
What time does Yeezy Day 2022 begin?
Get ready to start your day bright and early as the US drop will begin at 9 AM EST/6 AM PST.
Where will Yeezy Day 2022 take place?
As with every other Yeezy Day, the event will take place on both the adidas Confirmed App and on Yeezy Supply, though the adidas.com/yeezy website may see a few drops as well. It is also possible that releases will go down at the same time on both the app and the Yeezy Supply website.
How long will Yeezy Day 2022 last?
Looking at past Yeezy Day's, the event is likely to take place over the course of 12-plus hours.
Are new pairs produced for Yeezy Day?
Some releases will contain newly manufactured pairs, such as the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 "Turtle Dove" and the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 "Vanta." Other pairs will be either leftover pairs from previous drops or returned pairs as in the past some consumers received "new" pairs of sneakers that were clearly tried on.
What is releasing on Yeezy Day 2022?
Yeezy Day is set to kick things off with some heavy hitters as the Yeezy 700 V3 “Azael” will make its return. Being the first 700 V3 to release, the initial drop was quite limited and resale prices skyrocketed for this white and cream colorway. Staying within the same family, the 700 V2 “Vanta” will return for the first time since its initial July 2019 drop. For the 700 V1, the crisp white and cream colored “Analog” will also be making a comeback as well as a possible Waverunner release, though that is still up in the air.
The Yeezy 450 will see a new colorway launch with the “Utility Black” pair. Though close to the “Dark Slate,” the heels' primeknit will take on a darker tone closer to black. Alongside this, a brand new colorway of the Yeezy Slide is set to drop, titled “Flax.” No early images have surfaced as of this writing, though it’s likely to be similar to the Yeezy 350 V2 that was released back in 2020.
There is one release that everyone is looking to secure a pair of, and that is the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Turtle Dove.” Rumors have swirled about the construction of the pair being slightly tweaked such as a more durable rubber midsole and outsole as well as extra padding internally, though the product's SKU number is identical to the 2015 pair.
Plenty of Yeezy 350 V2’s are rumored to make a comeback. The most coveted of these will be the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Red Stripe,” originally released during the Black Friday Pack in 2016 and returning for the first time in full-family sizing. Other 350 V2’s set to drop include the “Hyperspace,” which originally was an APAC exclusive release, and the fan-favorite monochromatic “Sesame” colorway.
Fresh off its first re-release a few months back, the 700 V2 “Static” is returning in full-family sizing on this day of restocks. More V2’s are scheduled for this day as well with the “Tephra” and “Hospital Blue” colorways seeing yet another Yeezy Day release. Contrasting this, the Yeezy 700 V1 is getting a brand new colorway, taking on a vibrant “Hi-Res Blue” look.
Though the star of the OG releases is the “Turtle Dove,” the original colorway of the Yeezy 500, “Super Moon Yellow,” will make a return sans the clothing bundle originally required to purchase this shoe.
Sprinkled between all these previously mentioned releases will be restocks of recently released pairs, likely just leftover stock that adidas is looking to get rid of. All of these Yeezy Day releases are set to go down on August 2nd for the US and August 3rd, 2022 in the EU and Asia through Yeezy Supply and adidas Confirmed.
