The adidas Yeezy Slide swiftly rose to prominence for the Yeezy brand by demonstrating comfort and style can go hand in hand. Although Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, owns the patent for the Yeezy Slide design and is no longer partnered with adidas, The Three Stripes is planning a massive day-long event to offload some of its remaining Yeezy inventory. As part of the drop, an eerily similar colorway to the Yeezy Slide is set to debut in “Dark Onyx.”
Compared to the previously released “Onyx” and upcoming “Smoke Grey,” this “Dark Onyx” pair features a deeper black hue. As is usual with Yeezy Slides, the silhouette comes constructed utilizing a one-piece EVA-injected foam that is ultra-soft underfoot. Key details remain, including the “Yeezy” branding on the forefoot strap and the serrated foam outsole.
The adidas Yeezy Slide Dark Onyx will release May 31 exclusively through adidas Confirmed or adidas.com/yeezy. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $70.
