During a chaotic Yeezy Day 2022, the internet erupted once Ye shared a message with a fan over his lack of approval of the celebratory day filled with restocks and releases. In this message, Ye discussed more than just his transgressions with the day itself, sharing that he has wanted to ramp up production of the Yeezy Slide, though according to him, The Three Stripes lied to him about production capabilities. It seems the bi-monthly restocks of the silhouette aren’t enough for Ye, though it was revealed separately from this incident that the next Yeezy Slide colorway is coming soon, titled “Flax.”
The one-piece textured EVA foam slip-on is covered in a monochromatic shade that adidas and Yeezy are calling “Flax," though it's far from the greenish tint seen on the previously released 350 V2 "Flax," instead, it appears as a brownish-bronze shade. Key details remain the same with Three Stripes branding landing on the heel of the footbed, Yeezy and sizing text comes debossed within the forefoot strap, and the heel gets a concaved indent. Underfoot, a trail-like foam outsole completes the look.
The adidas Yeezy Slide Flax is slated to release on August 22nd, 2022 through adidas Confirmed, adidas.com/yeezy, Yeezy Supply, and select Yeezy retailers online and in-store.
