Initially launching in three colorways back in December of 2019, the adidas Yeezy Slide struggled to sell out with sizes being available for more than a month. As with most Yeezy's, public opinion shifted with time and the silhouette was selling out and garnering resale price over five times retail. To combat this, adidas and Yeezy decided to regularly restock their coveted Slide on a bi-monthly basis. This time around, we’ll have another shot at copping the adidas Yeezy Slide in the “Pure” and “Ochre” colorways.
Taking inspiration from traditional Japanese sandals with a minimal and futuristic twist, the adidas Yeezy Slide is constructed out of a one piece EVA foam. Both the light tan colored “Pure” and darker tan “Ochre” feature the new rougher finish compared to the original smooth finish of previous releases. The heel of the footbed features the adidas Three Stripes logo while Yeezy branding and sizing are printed on the forefoot strap. Exclusive to the “Ochre” colorway is a faint MX swirl pattern across the silhouette, bringing a slight variation to the monochromatic look traditionally seen on the Yeezy flip flop. Finishing off the simple design is a grooved outsole providing flexibility and traction.
The adidas Yeezy Slide Pure and adidas Yeezy Slide Ochre are set to restock on March 7th, 2022 alongside the Yeezy Slide Onyx. They will be available through adidas Confirmed, adidas.com, Yeezy Supply and select Yeezy retailers worldwide. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $60.
