Aime Leon Dore (ALD) has solidified itself as a key player in the footwear world, especially regarding collaborations with New Balance. Under the leadership of Teddy Santis, the brand has consistently delivered sought-after collections that merge heritage aesthetics with modern appeal. While Santis has been busy curating his Season 6 Made in USA Collection for New Balance, his work with ALD thrives. Following the recent teasers of the ALD x New Balance 475, the New York-based brand has just unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 Collection, which includes two standout colorways of the New Balance 997, worn by rapper Mach-Hommy in the campaign.
The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 997 Made in USA Pack features two distinct renditions: Dark Moss Angora and Grey Midnight. The Dark Moss Angora pair showcases a premium construction with a mesh base and high-quality leather overlays. A yellow tongue and a burgundy-red overlay near the collar contrast the deep green upper. Cream tones appear on the laces, sockliner, and midsole, adding a touch of classic elegance.
Meanwhile, the Grey Midnight colorway leans into New Balance’s classic look with a combination of suede and mesh. The grey hues on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel are complemented by tan and cream accents, while a striking red tongue adds a bold pop. The midsole is dressed in cream, with a black rubber outsole providing the finishing touch.
The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 997 Made in USA Pack will release in December 2024 through Aime Leon Dore and possibly via New Balance. The Dark Moss Angora colorway will be the first pair to drop, releasing via a raffle that ends on December 4, 2024. The second pair should follow next week.
