While we all know and love the standard Air Jordan 1, Jordan Brand has introduced a slew of iterations to the classic silhouette that gives it a facelift or carries it into the 21st century. Tapping into women’s fashion trends, the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low gives off the look and feel of the AJ 1 Low while adding some height to the wearer through its platform sole and has been spotted in colorways reminiscent of classic AJ 1 releases, however, the latest release seems to be taking inspiration from the WNBA with its basketball-like material and color scheme.
Much like the Nike Dunk High PRM that was released earlier in 2022, this AJ 1 Elevate Low comes covered in orange pebbled leather that resembles the material found on a basketball, though this is only found on the overlays. For its base layer, the toebox and quarter panel take on a smooth white leather finish while black accents land on the Swoosh and laces. Back on the heel where you’d typically find a Jordan Wings logo is an outline of the design, raised above on the pebbled orange leather. Rounding out the design is the thick platform midsole in white and black rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low SE WNBA W is set to release on July 13th, 2023, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
