After checking out the "White Aquatone" earlier this week, Jordan Brand's ease-of-access silhouette is getting another iconic color combination in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Low Flyease "Black Gym Red White." Inspired by the legendary "Chicago" palette, the colorblocking has been remastered for this upcoming release. If you're in the market for a basketball shoe that champions both aesthetics and accessibility, this is a pair that definitely shouldn't be overlooked.
Featuring a black and gym red colorway that has become synonymous to the Michael Jordan-helmed sportswear brand over the past four decades, this Air Jordan 1 Low boasts a full leather construction that's smooth and supple to the touch. Perforations across the toe area offer the ultimate ventilation experience, while white Nike Swoosh branding gives the shoe that unmistakably AJ 1 look and feel. Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning Tobie Hatfield's Flyeasy system. Not only is the lacing system attached using Velcro for ease-of-access, the laces have also been elasticated as well. All of this is then finished with a zipper around the medial sidewall which makes this easily one of the most accessible sneakers ever made.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Flyease Black Gym Red White is expected to release sometime in Summer 2023. Unlike the majority of Flyease pairs, this will be available in men's and gradeschool sizes at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Jordan retailers for $130 and $90.
