The Air Jordan 1 is undoubtedly one of the most iconic sneakers in basketball and sneaker culture history. Today, we see the model take on various remixes, whether it be different color schemes or construction, with plenty of grade school-exclusive releases hitting the shelves. For its latest kid-ready AJ 1 Low, Jordan Brand has crafted a clean “Purple Venom Black” colorway.
Boasting a two-tone design, purple venom leather covers the toebox, quarter panel, and select branding details such as the Wings on the heel and Jumpman atop the tongue. Black leather overlays on the mudguard, eyestays, collar, and heel contrast the sneaker’s color scheme. A black-on-black lace set and tongue get broken up by a minor hit of purple in the center of the tongue via the nylon lace loop. Underfoot sits a white AJ 1 midsole paired with a purple venom rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Purple Venom Black GS will be released in October 2023 via Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers. The sneaker will retail for $90, only available in grade school sizing.
