Since Teddy Santis and his label Aime Leon Dore brought the New Balance 550 back from the dead, the model has become a mainstay in the sneaker world. With consistent monthly releases and new renditions galore, we’re being treated to another series of colorways from the New Balance. Joining the women's exclusive "Sea Salt” series, which already includes blue and green versions, is an additional “Sea Salt Orange” colorway.
The New Balance 550 "Sea Salt Orange" starts with a vintage-like color palette and adds an array of complementary hues. The base layer of the upper boasts white leather, while various shades of tan suede are placed on the mudguard, midfoot overlay, and heel for added texture. Contrasting these earthy tones, bold orange accents adorn the "N" logo, vamp mesh, and the collar's nubuck overlay. Echoing this vibrant tone, we see more orange on the basketball graphic-laden tongue tag. Final touches include a cream heel panel and grey midsole and outsole.
The New Balance 550 Sea Salt Orange (W) will release in July through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
