When it comes to baseball, Michael Jordan is certainly no stranger to the sport. Back in 1993, His Airness shocked the world by announcing that he was retiring from professional basketball and dropping the ball for the bat. Signing a Minor League Baseball contract with the Chicago White Sox, while we now know that MJ's time on the field was short lived, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro Low MCS Baseball Cleats collection shows that he definitely hasn't forgotten about it.
Unveiled in two monochromatic color schemes including the "Panda" and "White Black," from a distance these look just like a classic pair of Air Jordan 1 Lows, but upon closer inspection you'll find that these have been specifically developed for Home Run use. Crafted from smooth leather constructions throughout, contrast Nike Swooshes shoot through the sidewalls, while the iconic Jumpman and legendary winged basketball adorn the tongue and heel, respectively. Down below, a set of grippy cleats replace the usual Air midsole, rounding off the baseball-ready designs.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low MCS Baseball Cleats Collection is expected to hit Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide sometime in Spring 2023. They'll be available in men's sizes with a retail price of $140.
