Collectors and Jordan aficionados have a preference when it comes to the Air Jordan 1 Low, its OG cut. Taking on a shape more similar to the original releases from the 80s, it’s always a treat when the Jordan Brand brings back original colorways on the model. Following the “Neutral Grey” release in 2021, Holiday 2023 will see the “University Red” that, unfortunately, never appeared on the original low-top releases, make its way to the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG.
Keeping the classic two-tone construction seen from the “Metallic” pack, the AJ1 Low comes covered in leather across its upper. Around the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, quarter panel, and heel sits white leather while accenting hits of red appear on the Swoosh and heel tab. Tonal white laces match the tongue with both coming accented by a red “Nike” branded tongue tag up top. Our final hits of red take over the collar and sockliner while the design comes rounded out by a white midsole paired with a red rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG University Red is set to release October 13th, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
