Collegiate sports programs affiliated with Jordan Brand are used to receiving PE colorways on various retro Air Jordan sneakers. This tradition goes back for years, with 2023 seeing schools like UCLA, UNC, Howard, and (most recently) Marquette getting gifted a PE Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG based on the school’s color scheme. Now, we have detailed images of the Oklahoma Sooners AJ 1 Low OG PE.
Following suit with other collegiate PEs on the AJ 1 Low OG, the leather overlays receive a cracked finish, while the base layer below gets a smooth finish. These cracked overlays come in a deep black finish, while sail hues contrast this on the toebox, quarter panel, and tongue. Tonal laces match these underlays while added details, like the pebbled leather Swoosh, take on a red makeover. Continuing this red hue, we see the mini Swoosh on the mudguard, Nike Air text atop the tongue, and the “OU” branded insole covered in the shade. Rounding out the look is the sail AJ 1 midsole paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Oklahoma Sooners PE will remain exclusive to players/staff of the Sooners. Though we won’t have a shot at copping this pair, check below for detailed images courtesy of English Sole.
