It's not just superheroes that can cross dimensions - their footwear can too. As we saw with Miles Morales’ first silver screen adventure, Jordan Brand crafted a commemorative pair sported in the movie and on the feet of Spider-Man fans across the globe. Following this “Origin Story” colorway of the Air Jordan 1, another Chicago-like colorway of the AJ1 was constructed for the second movie in Miles’ arc — the Air Jordan 1 High “The Next Chapter.”
(Warning: Spoilers for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse below)
In this film, we see a multi-verse of Spider-Men and Spider-Women who all come from different Earths. One character, a version of Miles from Earth-42 where he has become The Prowler, is spotted wearing an unseen pair of the Air Jordan 1 Utility.
The midfoot of this sneaker veers from the typical design by omitting the conventional Swoosh detail. We also see the usual bag placed on the back. The midsole mirrors the hues on the overlays, while the outsole showcases a pristine white finish. This model encapsulates a blend of minimalist design and bold style, true to the spirit of the Jordan brand.
According to SoleSavy, just 100 pairs of the sneaker were made and given to friends and family of both Jordan Brand and Sony Pictures. This news suggests there will not be a retail release for the Air Jordan 1 Utility Miles Morales The Prowler, which came with the same tote bag and tissue paper as other AJ1 Utility drops. However, if anything changes, we'll let you know. Sole Retriever has reached out to Jordan Brand for comment and will update if a response is given.
