The Air Jordan 17 has yet to see an abundance of retro releases. Outside of a few one-offs, the 20-year-old Jazz-inspired silhouette designed by Wilson Smith III has been MIA. That is set to slightly change in 2024 with the return of two original Air Jordan 17 Lows, Lightning and now, University Blue.
The Air Jordan 17 Retro Low SP University Blue comes in a white, university blue, chrome, and black colorway. The white-based upper is covered in leather. University Blue accents are seen via the inner bootie that can be worn up or folded down to hide it, depending on the wearer's preference—chrome accents the eyelets and the metal stripe that wraps around the back heel. More university blue is seen via the midsole, tip on the toe, and back heel—a white herringbone traction sole rounds out the design.
The Air Jordan 17 Retro Low SP University Blue will be released on August 28, 2024, through Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan NBHD retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, retail is set at $300. Stay up-to-date with the latest sneaker releases, news, and more by downloading the Sole Retriever mobile app.
