Often looked at as the black sheep of the Air Jordan lineup, the Air Jordan 2 doesn’t necessarily receive the love it deserves. Kicking of the silhouettes revival, Jordan Brand gave many of its frequent collaborators a chance to generate hype for the silhouette, though that has not gone as planned with many of these sneakers hitting outlets and garnering low demand on the secondary market. Following this 2022 push, this year is set to bring us a wide range of inline Air Jordan 2 colorways, including an all-new Italian-themed edition.
Taking on the classic construction that the once-Italian-manufactured silhouette is known for, an all-leather build features hits of smooth and faux snakeskin across its upper mixed with TPU overlays along the heel. Its color scheme also sticks to a familiar white and red combo with small hints of fir green along the piping of the midfoot overlay and back on the Nike-branded heel tab. Standard details do appear throughout the mainly white sneaker with perforations along the toe and midfoot as well as TPU eyestays and a Jordan Wings logo featured prominently on the tongue. Red hits on the sockliner and heel finish the upper while a sail midsole paired with a grey and red rubber outsole finishes the colorway.
