Most hardcore sneakerheads are only after one series of releases from Jordan Brand - Air Jordan Retros. These sneakers typically consist of the Air Jordan 1 through the Air Jordan 14, the original sneakers worn by MJ himself when he was dominating the NBA. Even after his retirement from basketball, Jordan Brand continued to release performance basketball models through the numbered Air Jordan line, finally reaching its 37th iteration in 2022. Looking ahead to next year, we’ve already seen a handful of Air Jordan 37 Low colorways appear, though the recently pictured “Military Blue” is an obvious call back to the iconic AJ 4 colorway.
Forgoing the large Leno-Weave covered upper we see on the AJ 37, the low-top iteration utilizes the material in a more toned-down fashion as it makes its way to the midfoot panel and a portion of the toebox while the rest of the upper takes on a leather and neoprene construction. All of these panels come in a vibrant military blue shade while the underlay comes in a similar, yet duller hue of blue. For the neoprene tongue and lace set, JB keeps the military blue theme alive as yet another variation of this shade takes over with the tongue tag featuring an embroidered Jumpman logo in white on one side while the other sneaker hosts what appears to be a fraternal logo as it contains Greek letters and an emblem. Back on the heel, we get the typical Jumpman logo and MJ’s signature on the nylon pull tab while the entire design of the sneaker is rounded out by a white foam midsole (featuring Zoom Strobel cushioning) paired with a white/blue rubber outsole inspired by the AJ 7.
The Air Jordan 37 Low Military Blue is set to release on March 2nd, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the pair will retail for $175.
