Jordan Brand has blessed the sneaker community with retro releases across the Air Jordan lineup that debuted in the 2000s, like the recent AJ 4 Lightning retro. While these non-OG colorways may not hold the same place in our hearts as pairs released in the 80s and 90s, enough time has passed that many pairs from the 2000s are no longer wearable. Following the return of the classic Air Jordan 5 in the Burgundy colorway, the AJ 5 Olive is the next pair set for a comeback.
Initially released in 2006 as part of the Jordan Lifestyle Collection, which featured more LS-oriented colorways of the iconic basketball shoe, this Air Jordan 5 quickly became a fan favorite due to its unique combination of earthy tones and premium materials. Staying true to its OG predecessor, the Air Jordan 5 Retro Olive re-release will come in the same army olive and solar orange color scheme. Featuring an olive-based upper, orange accents are found via the lining, shark teeth on the midsole, lace locks, and Jumpman branding on the tongue and back heel. Icy blue translucent hits on the outsole finish off all of this.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Olive is set to release on March 2, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in full-family sizing, retail is set at $225, $160, $100, and $85, respectively.
