2023 is already planned to have a huge start, and we are still in 2022. With news that the Air Jordan 3 Retro “White Cement” and Air Jordan 13 Retro “Playoff” are returning next year, the news just keeps coming. In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 8, Jordan Brand remixes the Air Jordan 5 Retro to pay homage.
Inspired by the original “Aqua” colorway of the AJ 8, this Air Jordan 5 Retro comes in black, aquatone and taxi. Taking cues from the original “Black Metallic” colorway and early 2000s PE vibes, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Aqua” sports a black-based nubuck upper. Aquatone accents are found via the “Jumpman” logo on the tongue, lacelocks, inside tongue lining, speckled detailing on the midsole, and translucent hits on the outsole. An overlooked accent color of the AJ8 “Aqua,” taxi yellow, is featured via the flame on the midsole.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Aqua was originally set to release in January and then pushed back to April, they will now release on February 4th, 2023. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in full-family sizing, retail is set at $200 for men.
