One of the bigger themes from Jordan Brand for Spring 2023 is the “Dunk On Mars” Collection. It is inspired by the thought of “What If Mars Blackmon Dunked On Mars?” Paying homage to the classic Spike Lee created character that helped launch Air Jordan’s into the stratosphere, the capsule re-imagines various silhouettes with a Mars-like vibe.

Kicking things off for the “Dunk On Mars” Pack is this women’s exclusive Air Jordan 5 Retro. Similar in looks to the “Raging Bulls” AJ 5 at first glance, when up-close, you can see that is further from the truth. This pair comes in Martian Sunrise, black, fire red, muslin, and bright mandarin. The upper was originally going to be made up of Tyvek leather, featuring a crinkled-like vibe throughout the premium base. However, the costs were too high, so they decided to go with rough suede, like the "Raging Bulls." Black accents the majority of the sneaker while a classic 3M reflective tongue, “23” embroidered on the heels, and a unique two-tone design via the flame on the midsole really drive home the “Mars” theme.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro Dunk On Mars W is set to release in January 2023. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in women’s sizing, retail is set at $200. Check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
