Collegiate-based color schemes always do well for Nike and Jordan Brand with their sneakers forever tied to various NCAA teams. One of the most coveted of these is Georgetown which has been gifted a wide range of PE colorways and various sneakers that come in navy-like colors. Now years after the Jordan 5 was given to the DC-based college as a PE, the public has a shot at what possibly is a “Reverse Georgetown” colorway.
This iteration of the AJ5 takes on navy shades across the majority of the upper. Accenting hits of grey appear on details like the TPU eyestays while black hits take over branding details seen atop the 3M tongue and on the heel. For its material makeup, this colorway follows the same construction as the Air Jordan 5 Retro SE Craft with its multi-material build. Included in this is cracked suede, textile, and TPU. Rounding out the design is a white midsole with midnight navy accents on the shark teeth paired with a semi-translucent icy blue and midnight navy rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Reverse Georgetown is slated to release on November 10th, 2023 through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210 (men), $150 (GS), $90 (PS), and $70 (TD).
