When you think of Nike's innovative evolution and the redefinition of basketball shoes, the Air Jordan 5 undoubtedly stands out. First released in 1990, the Air Jordan 5 has become an icon in sneaker culture and continues to receive new renditions throughout the year. As part of Jordan Brand's Summer 2024 lineup, the Jordan 5 will launch in a new SE edition with a “Sail” colorway.
Given its name, the Air Jordan 5 Retro SE Sail features a sail-based colorway. The palette also includes black, light orewood brown, and coconut milk. Most of the upper is doused in sail hues while we see coconut milk take over the lace set. Black accents hit the top of the canvas tongue, which features a Jumpman logo, and on the sockliner. Underfoot sits a cream-colored midsole with the black shark teeth near the toe getting a white splatter finish paired with a semi-translucent aged rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro SE Sail will release on April 13, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men's and grade school sizes, the retail price is set at $210 and $160, respectively.
