To my knowledge, here are all the Jordan Brand “Pinksicle” releases we’ve had thus far, in no particular order. Jordan 1 Mid and Low, AJ 8 Retro, Jordan Delta, Jordan Drip 23, Jumpman Pro, Jordan MA2, Jordan Max Aura 3, and last but certainly not least, we now have the Air Jordan 5 Retro "White Pinksicle."
The Air Jordan 5 was created by the great Tinker Hatfield. It was first introduced to the marketplace in 1990. A big inspiration behind the design of the Jordan 5 was the shark teeth painted on a World War II fighter jet plane. This is clearly shown on the midsole. Another cool feature of the Jordan 5 are the lace locks. An additional standout design feature for the Jordan 5 that I’ll mention is the clear outsoles. This was the first sneaker to have that specific detail.
This all-new kids exclusive AJ 5 features a predominantly white upper with pebble detailing within the leather. The tongue is also white, but it comes made out of a jersey-like mesh material. Jumpman logos, the inside collar of the tongue, midsole, and translucent portion of the outsole are all in pinksicle. The laces locks, shark teeth, and other rubber portions of the outsole come in safety orange.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro White Pinksicle GS is set to release on July 1st, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in full-family kids sizing, retail is set at $150 for GS. Check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
