Fans of Michael Jordan will know that of all his Air Jordan sneakers, the Jordan 6 holds a special place in the lineup as MJ won his first championship rocking the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker. While it’s been some years since the last retro of the Infrared colorway, Jordan Brand is giving us a heritage twist on the model with the Jordan 6 Bred. This “heritage twist” color scheme has been seen on other models like the Jordan 5 White Black, Jordan 4 White Thunder, Jordan 12 Barons, and Jordan 1 Midnight Navy, all of which reimagine classic styles with new takes on the color scheme and material makeup.
Like the Jordan 4 Bred, this Jordan 6 features a black, red, and grey color scheme, with the construction sticking to the usual Durabuck found on the Jordan 6. Sporting Carmine colorblocking, most of the sneaker is covered in black with iron green hits found via the underlays. Fire Red accents are seen on the Jumpman logo on the lace cover and lace lock. To further the Bred theme, the spoiler at the heel comes in a black and red combo. The fire red and iron grey midsole are rounding out the look paired with a black and semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Bred was originally set to release in October 2024. However, the shoe has been dropped from the Holiday 2024 lineup with no makeup date announced at this time. If it is released in the future, it will be available through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $200 for men, $150 for GS, $90 for PS, and $75 for TD.
