Originally released in 2010, the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Oreo” took the classic color blocking of the OG “Carmine” and paired it with speckled hits on the midsole and back heel pull tab. For Summer 2022, Jordan Brand is bringing the theme back with an all-new colorway of the AJ 6.
Dubbed the “Red Oreo” edition, this Air Jordan 6 Retro comes in white, university red and black. While most will say “Red Oreo” is a stretch, remember, this is just an unofficial nickname. So instead of thinking of a red Oreo, think more along the lines of red velvet cake. The sneakers feature a white-leather upper as opposed to the leather and nubuck combo featured on the 2010 “Oreo” release. Varsity Red accents with paint splatter detailing are found on the midsole, back heel pull tab, rubber tongue and lace locks. Finishing things off are icy blue translucent hits on a black outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Red Oreo is set to release on June 4th, 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers both in-store and online. They will be available in full-family sizing from men down to toddler. Men’s pairs will retail for $200.
