Last seen way back in June 2013, the Air Jordan 8 "Playoff" edition was the last sneaker Michael Jordan would lace up before retiring from the NBA for the first time. It was retroed for the first time in 2007 and then again six years later. The Air Jordan 8 Retro "Playoff" is set to release as a part of Jordan Brand's Fall 2023 Lineup. Coinciding with the AJ 8's 30th Anniversary in 2023, it makes perfect sense for Jordan Brand to bring this coveted colorway back. The sneaker will come in its original black and true red colorway. Jordan Brand is also re-crafting the AJ 8 from the ground up. This way it will be as close to the original specs as possible, from the print on the plastic heel to the infamous red pull tab on the back heel!
The Air Jordan 8 Retro Playoff was originally released on September 30th, 2023 and dropped via Nike and at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. The pair will now restock via Nike SNKRS on October 26, 2023. Coming in full-family sizing, retail is set at $210 for men.
