The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low Panda Drops In July
Updated on •PublishedInitially released alongside the legendary Air Jordan 1 in 1985, the Air Jordan AJKO 1 silhouette has always been shrouded in mystery. While we still don't truly know the origins of model's naming scheme and its true reason for hitting the market, the silhouette has recently seen a surge in releases and has even been introduced in a brand-new low-cut variant. In addition from Union’s work on the silhouette, classic colorways from the Air Jordan 1 have made their way to the AJKO 1 Low, like the “Bred” and “Shadow.” Embracing the Panda-emic trend, the latest colorway to hit the scene is the Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low Panda.
Retaining the AJKO 1's DNA, the silhouette gets covered primarily in canvas with hits of leather appearing on the black Swoosh and heel tab. Like the iconic Nike Dunk Low Panda, black overlays around the mudguard and eyestays contrast the white base layer below. Black laces pierce off the white nylon tongue and match the Nike branding on the above tag. Another branding hit can be seen on the heel tab with the Jordan Wings logo replacing the "Air Jordan" text with "AJKO." A nod to old-school Jordan releases can be spotted on the medial side of the collar, with the size of the sneaker stamped in white. Rounding out the look is the sail-covered midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low Panda will be released on July 1, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
