Jordan Brand often looks to the archives to reintroduce new colorways or renditions of iconic Air Jordan sneakers. In recent memory, we’ve seen the return of the Air Jordan AJKO 1, a “knock-off” version of the iconic AJ 1 that utilizes canvas and a slightly different cut to the model’s various panels. Bringing the high-top silhouette down, the AJKO 1 Low was introduced earlier this year with help from Union and has since been spotted in classic colorways, including “Bred” and “Shadow” renditions. Adding another colorway to the list, the AJKO 1 Low has just been spotted in a "White Dark Royal" colorway.
Maintaining the all-canvas construction for its overlays and underlays, like other AJKO 1 Lows, we see leather take over the Swoosh and heel tab. Things remain simple with the two-tone color scheme featuring a dark royal blue mudguard and eyestays while white canvas hits appear on the toebox, quarter panel, and heel. Tonal dark royal laces sit atop the white tongue and run through plastic eyelets. Dark Royal Blue Nike branding can be seen atop the tongue and insole, while AJKO branding in the Jordan Wings logo is embroidered on the heel. The interior features a hit of retro branding with the size of the shoe stamped along the medial sockliner. Underfoot, the sneaker is finished with a sail AJKO 1 midsole paired with a dark royal rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low White Dark Royal is currently set to release on May 1st, 2023, through Nike and select Jordan retailers. The sneaker will come in men's sizing with a retail price of $120.
