Jordan Brand may be famous for its series of performance basketball models and the iconic Air Jordan retro lineup, however, the brand has introduced plenty of remixes to these classic models over its history. One that entered the scene for a brief period and went back into the vault was the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low, a skate-like modern-day version of the AJ 1 that celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2022 in big style. Classic colorways returned and athletes like Jayson Tatum received their own version of the model but now Jordan Brand is giving the kids an exclusive colorway on the silhouette - the Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro 1 Low “Guava Ice Jade Ice.”
Taking on its classic construction, we see leather throughout the design with a large panel taking over from the heel down to around the toebox. White leather gets perforated on the toebox while a smooth finish is applied to the heel overlay, both of which contrast the guava ice leather. Providing even more contrast are the jade ice panels seen on the midfoot’s Jordan Wing’s logo-laden panels as well as the sock and tongue lining. White laces match the tongue while the design gets finished off by a white rubber midsole paired with a two-tone guava ice and jade ice rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Guava Ice Jade Ice GS is set to release in August 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
