Since joining forces with New Balance as a brand ambassador in April 2022, Aminé has made significant waves with the release of the New Balance 610 The Mooz, a sneaker that became an instant favorite among fans of both the artist and the brand. Now, as we approach the holiday season, Aminé has taken to social media to unveil a follow-up series that is ripe with exclusivity and flair—the 610S Mini Mooz.
This new trio, consisting of Brown, Yellow, and Green colorways, is more than a mere addition to the roster; it’s a narrative of the banana's lifecycle, encapsulated in sneaker form. With a limited edition release of just 503 pairs—100 for the Yellow and Green and 303 for the Brown—the 610S Mini Mooz reflects the stages of ripening, from the fresh green of the early days through the ripe yellow to the mature brown. Each sneaker boasts a gradient mesh base, overlaid with suede in tones that match each stage of the banana's journey. Aminé's personal touch comes alive with his logo imprinted on the insole, while the creamy midsole and outsole offer a subtle contrast to the vibrant upper. The attention to detail extends to the unique banana charms that adorn each pair, signifying the ripeness level, accompanied by a card illustrating the banana's lifespan—a playful and inventive touch true to Aminé's aesthetic.
The Aminé x New Balance 610S Mini Mooz will release in November 2023, with the Green pair available on November 10 at Kee's Loaded Kitchen in Portland, Oregon, the Yellow pair on November 12 at Morgenstern's Bananas in NYC, and the Brown pair on November 15 exclusively online via www.clbn.store.
