After setting the rookie record for rebounds in a single season and becoming the first player in WNBA history to have 20 or more rebounds in three consecutive games, Angel Reese has signed a multi-year extension with Reebok. Before this extension, Shaq, the President of Reebok Basketball, courted Reese to Reebok and even stated, “There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese.”
While we knew Angel was in line to get her signature sneaker with Reebok, as she told Sole Retriever and the public multiple times, it was in the works. However, Reese and Reebok have officially put a Spring 2026 release window for her debut model. Before this, Reese and Reebok created a collaborative collection of footwear and apparel.
Right after the announcement, Angel posted an episode of her Unapologetically Angel podcast with Shaq and spoke on her upcoming signature sneaker, stating that the model would be for men and women. Vital to her is that Angel can express her unapologetic nature, which will help inform the sneaker's look. Reese also expressed her gratitude for being with Reebok and having creative control over her designs, stating that she “easily could have went to Nike” but that the women signed to these other brands lack the respect that Reebok gives her.
“I’m extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe!” said Reese. “We’ve already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok’s full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership. A signature shoe has always been a dream of mine, and I want all the young girls out there to remember that anything is possible.”
Now, with Reese officially confirmed as the next woman in the WNBA to get a signature shoe, she joins four other active WNBA players with a signature sneaker line, including Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, whose sneakers are already on the market and upcoming lines from Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson. This partnership also marks the 15th signature sneaker from a WNBA player in the league's history.
Before her signature sneaker debuts, Angel will be sporting Reebok's first new performance basketball sneaker in over a decade — the Reebok Engine A. 2025 and beyond will also mark a reset for Reebok Basketball, who has been swiftly making moves across the sport, signing up-and-coming stars like Matas Buzelis, Dink Pate, and Nate Ament.
