Japanese streetwear specialists atmos link up with German sportswear giant adidas to kick off the new year with an exclusive drop, a two-sneaker collection featuring the Samba OG and Gazelle Indoor. After an incredible 2024 between the long-time collaborators that saw releases such as the Gazelle 85, G-SNK 9 ZX 8000, and Aruku sell out within hours of launch, 2025 will continue to see this partnership hard at work. The aesthetic across the pack invokes a luxury jewelry and specialty design house based on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
With opposing material blends and an incredibly wearable color scheme, the adidas Clear Mint Pack looks to keep momentum as the trend for classic sneakers is still experiencing a zenith in popularity. The adidas Samba has, in various forms, been around since the 1950s, and the Gazelle Indoor model was created in the early 80s. Though the Gazelle OG dates back to the 1960s, these models are as classic and retro as anything else on the shelves.
Arriving with an upper constructed from core black leather, the Samba OG features a traditional nubuck toe box, color-matched in a deep black tone. The clear mint hues adorn the rear heel tabs and provide a vivid contrast at the midfoot in the form of Three Stripes branding. The Samba moniker is denoted in metallic silver parallel to the stripes, while underfoot, a dark gum-colored rubber outsole completes the look while ensuring a comfortable fit.
Smooth suede is utilized for the upper of the Gazelle Indoor, again finished in core black. Clear Mint is daubed on the Three Stripes, heel tabs, and branding on the tongue tag, tying the ensemble together. A Trefoil logo appears on the heels, and Gazelle lettering is seen on the midfoot, finished in silver foil. A dark gum-colored rubber outsole featuring a translucent midsole, as is traditional for the silhouette, sits underfoot and provides increased grip.
The adidas Clear Mint Pack is set to release on January 9, 2025, exclusively at atmos online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the Samba OG will retail for $100 and the Gazelle Indoor for $105.
