Japanese sneaker retailer atmos is back in the spotlight, teasing a cybernetics-themed collaboration with New Balance. The chosen silhouette for its latest link-up with the Boston-based brand is the New Balance 2002R.
A teaser trailer posted by atmos reveals a 3D rendering of its collaborative 2002R. The design keeps the usual construction while introducing a futuristic palette. The base layer of the shoe features a light blue mesh, while various grey panels wrap around the upper. The "N" logo adorns the midfoot, executed in clean white trimmed with a contrasting navy blue. When combined with the light blue and grey upper, these colors create a striking visual balance that echoes the cybernetic theme. Underfoot features a white and cream midsole and a black outsole.
The atmos x New Balance 2002 Cybernetics Blue will release July 14 through atmos Tokyo online and in-store. A wider release through global atmos locations will take place on July 15. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $160. Keep it locked to our Twitter and download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest sneaker releases, raffles, and news.
