atmos Tokyo has been a critical player in the sneaker world for years, consistently delivering innovative collaborations with top brands. While the retailer has shifted its focus back to the Asian market, exiting the US, its influence remains strong. In recent months, atmos Tokyo has worked with adidas on many exciting projects, most recently a tuxedo-themed adidas Samba. The Three Stripes has tapped the label to collaborate on the unreleased adidas Adizero Aruku. The Aruku model was recently revealed via official imagery of the White Pure Ruby colorway.
The new adidas Adizero Aruku is a contemporary take on classic running design, featuring a sleek and streamlined look. For atmos’ take on the sneaker, the upper comes crafted from a single piece of black mesh, providing breathability and a snug fit. Metallic Silver TPU overlays add a futuristic touch, enhancing the sneaker's durability and aesthetic appeal. The iconic Three Stripes branding appears on the midfoot in a subtle black hue, seamlessly blending with the overall design.
The black theme extends to the tongue and sockliner, creating a cohesive look, while the two-tone black and white laces add a pop of contrast. Inside, the insole is finished in a vibrant blue, providing a splash of color. The chunky white foam midsole, constructed with adidas' innovative Swirlfoam cushioning technology, ensures maximum comfort and support, while the black outsole offers superior traction.
The atmos Tokyo x adidas Adizero Aruku will release September 12, 2024 through atmos Tokyo online. An in-person release will take place at adidas Con by atmos on September 13, 2024. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at ¥18,700 (approx $130 USD).
