Hirofumi Kojima is certainly no stranger when it comes to the 2002R silhouette. After releasing the atmos x New Balance 2002R "Mouse Tracks" earlier this year, the Japanese style icon has now returned to the retro model, this time for the atmos x New Balance 2002R "Oasis." Giving the vintage-inspired sneaker an extra premium makeover, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Originally released in 2010, the 2002R was brought back ten years later and it's now more popular than ever. Working on top of a light grey mesh base, brown, olive, and tan suede panels wrap around the entire upper for a luxe look and feel. Soft nubuck ventures towards the tongue, while the heel is covered in supple leather that's smooth to the touch. You'll also find a dash of hairy suede surrounding the front of the toebox for a look that is sure to turn heads. Towards the sides, the iconic "N" logo has been dipped in a seafoam green. This color extends towards the N-ERGY midsole underfoot, as well as on the laces. With that said, if you want to make the 2002R a little more understated, it also comes with a pair of cream laces straight out of the box.
The atmos x New Balance 2002R Oasis is set to release during Holiday 2022 in men's sizes with a retail price yet TBA. Expected to drop at atmos, New Balance, and select online and in-store retailers worldwide within the coming months, make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download ourMobile App to find out everything that you need to know!
