New Balance's partnership with global brands continues to flourish, and its collaboration with Japan's fashion label Auralee stands out for its innovative approach to reimagining classic silhouettes. In Fall 2024, Auralee will tackle the classic New Balance 990v4 Made in USA, as revealed during the label’s Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show in Paris.
This collaboration follows the success of their previous partnerships, including the soon-to-be-released Warped Runner and the 1906R released in October 2023. The upcoming pack features two distinct colorways of the 990v4, each showcasing a blend of premium pigskin suede, breathable mesh, and perforated leather. The attention to detail and quality materials reflect both brands' commitment to superior quality. One pair from the pack adopts a classic greyscale color palette, with striking blue accents on the iconic New Balance "N" logo and elements of the sole unit. This choice of color scheme is both timeless and versatile, making it a perfect addition to any wardrobe.
The second pair in the pack presents a more earthy aesthetic, with varying shades of blue across its suede components, complemented by tonal variations on the mesh base and the "N" logo. While the early glimpses of these sneakers have not revealed any explicit co-branding, we’ll likely see Auralee appear on the tongue tag or insole.
The Auralee x New Balance 990v4 Made in USA Pack is scheduled for release in Fall 2024 through Auralee, New Balance, and select retailers both online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail pricing has yet to be announced.
