Teddy Santis of Aime Leon Dore fame has led the New Balance Made in USA lineup for nearly three years, launching seasonal collections throughout the year. Santis and New Balance are on their sixth seasonal collection, previewed in August. During these previews, we saw one of the only upcoming 990v4 colorways, Macadamia Nut, with new in-hand images of this quickstrike now making their way online.
Unlike the original image previewed, the upper of this 990v4 comes constructed mainly from premium tumbled leather. This upper comes coated in the titular macadamia nut hue, landing along the mudguard, midfoot, eyelets, and heel. Below sits a cream mesh base, matching the nubuck overlays' hues near the toe and lining the panels along the midfoot. Made in USA branding is proudly displayed on the tongue tag, resting above the 990v4 stamped into the tongue and along the heel. Inside sits New Balance branding in a retro typeface alongside an NB logo. Rounding out the design is the green-tinted foam midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA Macadamia Nut will release on October 17, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
