Aside from LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers have another player on the roster with a signature sneaker — Austin Reaves. Announcing his deal with Rigorer earlier this year, we knew the name of the silhouette, the AR1, but had no clue when it would hit retail shelves. The Chinese sportswear label will debut the AR1 with an “Ice Cream” colorway.
The Rigorer AR1 "Ice Cream" perfectly embodies Reaves' playful spirit and athletic prowess. Constructed with a textile upper, it offers reinforcements for additional support and durability. A white base forms a canvas for the multi-colored design, emulating melting ice cream. Icy blue shades adorn the tongue, collar, and Reaves' logo on the midfoot, providing an excellent contrast to the colorful backdrop. An anti-rollover TPU plate is strategically located on the lateral forefoot and heel in the midsole, ensuring stability during swift movements. An additional TPU plate with carbon fiber acts as a shank on the outsole. The insole features an ice cream graphic, further embodying the playful theme. Additionally, the packaging includes ice cream-themed socks boasting Austin's logo.
The Rigorer AR1 Ice Cream is currently available for pre-order via Rigorer's website, with pairs beginning to ship on August 12, 2023. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $145.
