Austin Reaves quickly made a name for himself in the NBA. Entering his fourth season with the Lakers, Reaves has showcased his talent and versatility on the court, achieving career-best stats last season with nearly 16 points per game, 5.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. Reaves has ventured into the sneaker industry alongside his on-court success, launching his first signature sneaker, the Rigorer AR1. Following up on nine different colorways, Reaves and Rigorer have unveiled the highly follow-up, the Rigorer AR2, just in time for the 2024 holiday season.
The Rigorer AR2 builds upon the success of its predecessor with several key updates. Maintaining the low-cut design that characterized the AR1, the AR2 introduces a more refined and advanced construction. The upper features an engineered mesh base, providing breathability and lightweight comfort.
TPU overlays have been added to reinforce the midfoot and heel, enhancing stability and support during intense gameplay. Reaves' logo is seamlessly integrated into the midfoot design, while the scope logo, previously on the midfoot of the AR1, has been relocated to the heel. The sole unit of the AR2 also sees an upgrade, with a TPU encasement around the foam sole, although the specific technology used within remains undisclosed.
The Rigorer AR2 will debut in November or December 2024 through Rigorer and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
