Founded in 2019 by Tokyo-born graphic artist Teito, Birth Of The Teenager (often shortened to BoTT) has brought the artist's philosophy of “making cool stuff” to life through his brand’s youthful takes on workwear, streetwear, and casualwear clothing pieces. In just a three-year timespan the brand has grown tremendously and has begun to reach international audiences outside of Japan through its recent collaboration with Reebok. Already releasing two projects together, an apparel collection and a Classic Leather colorway, the new tag team is bringing us a youthful take on the iconic Reebok Club C 85.
Dressed in a simple color scheme of white and navy on the upper, accenting bright colors hit the lateral side of the quarter panel through abstract shapes embroidered in green, red, and sky blue. BoTT takes over the branding window that usually hosts Reebok text while the navy blue laces matching the tongue also have “BoTT” written in white all throughout. The brand even gets the honor of being placed alongside the usual “Reebok Classic” logo on the tongue tag, continuing this white-on-navy color scheme that works its way onto the sockliner and split branding on the insoles. Underfoot, a chalk white rubber midsole and outsole combo complete the look.
The BoTT x Reebok Club C 85 is slated to release exclusively in Japan on September 16th, 2022 through Reebok online. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $95.
